ABOUT HOUSE OF BOYS

Handmade with Heart, From My Home to Yours
Hi, I’m Anita!
A mother of five boys, now an empty nester, living on the beautiful Darling Downs. Sewing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From learning as a little girl to stitching quilts and bags for my boys when they were younger, there has hardly been a day I haven’t had a project on the go.
Now that life has slowed down a little, I have more time to spend doing what I love: creating. When I’m not helping out with the family business, you’ll find me happily tucked away in my sewing space, surrounded by fabric, my Jack Russells (Barry, Dottie, and Betty), and the quiet joy that comes with making something by hand
I’ve always had a soft spot for vintage fabrics, natural textures, and thoughtful details. I use premium cottons and linens, wool and cotton wadding, and I truly enjoy every part of the process - from planning and selecting fabrics to construction and seeing the finished piece come to life.

Why Handmade?
Each piece I create is a one-of-a-kind item, made with intention, care, and quality materials. While handmade items may cost a little more than something you’d pick up at a chain store, they’re built to last - and made with a whole lot more heart.
Choosing handmade means choosing a more personal experience, where care and craftsmanship matter. I don’t mass produce. I make bespoke items that are meant to be used, loved, gifted, and treasured for years to come.
A Good Day? One Spent Sewing.
From quilts that get softer with every wash, to sweet bows, patchwork bags, and useful zippered pouches, I hope that you’ll find something here that brings comfort, joy, and a little beauty to your everyday life
Thanks for being here and supporting handmade.
It truly means the world.
